Hey guys I just recently got a 1835 and I am just worried about some cooling issues. Well, I have a gene deep sump, doghouse, and dog house cooler with remote oil filter. Will this be enough to keep my temps down. Should I go ahead and pick up a remote oil cooler with a fan and put an inline thermostat?

The doghouse cooling systems work really well, for an 1835 I wouldn't bother with all that extra plumbing. Make sure you keep your cylinder head temps in check though, the 92 mm cylinders used to build 1835's have a relatively thin wall compared to other bores and are more prone to distortion. What carbs etc are you going to run?

I will be running the true webber 44 idfs for this application. I did not want to get a small carb now and then when I upgrade to a larger motor like a 2332 I will be looking for another set of carbs.. So I opted to do it right the first time...

44's are great carbs, they can definitely be set up to work well on just about anything. When you build a big motor some day you can get a set of 40mm vents for them ;)

Dellorto
