beetleluvr why don't you run some Kadrons on that 1300 ? I did it with single port manifolds and it was a screamer ! That was back in 92 when I had my 66 delux.

It's possible that the case is wore, and those EMPI press in sand seals suck, I have one now a and it leaks. It started leaking almost immediately. One possible cause of the oil leak may be excessive blow by though, but if the engine is on a fairly recent rebuild that *shouldn't* be the case. IIRC VW used to make slightly oversize (in the threaded area that goes into the case) pulleys to help with worn cases, but I doubt you can find those any more. Unless it's really bad, I would say just live with it till you are ready for a rebuild, then have a machine-in sand seal put in, that should solve it for good. Another option is to get a replacement seal for the one you have now and see if it works any better. Make sure when you install the pulley afterward to oil the snout of the pulley really well where the seal seals so you don't burn the seal.

I must have given you some wrong info before. I was able to install a machined seal into my case without machining it. So I personally think the case is junk ?

That might be an idea. How easy is it to find a set for a single port?
