 Post subject: Replacing Fuel line

Has anyone ever replaced or delt with the steel fuel line running through the floor? If anyone has could they please help me figure out what to do or please give me some tips.

i bought copper line from home depot and ran it beside the original one...then to keep it from moving around in there i zip tied it to the old one..i even ran it out the hole in the back where it was suppose to come out and out the one in the front. but then again my pan was totaly disasembled

Use flare fittings, not compression. comp. mushrooms at the worst times and locations. It's all we use in boiler fuel lines. Also check out Hot VW's april '08 issue for a step by step. I think it's april's issue, if not check back issues. I know it's an '08 issue though
