I'm sure your motor will be nice bro, I'm just saying if you want power, it's hard to beat a type 1 ;)
And with used parts and bargain hunting you can build a 2L type one cheap too. ;)

I didn't mean to step on any toes but a stock T1 vs a stock T4, the T4 is a much better designed motor(cooling/case strength/flywheel design/oil filter...). I don't think the OP wants a fully built motor. I do want to reiterate that the bus 2.0L heads are the least desirable of the type 4 heads, they flow the worst and easily crack. thats why a bus 2L only makes 67 hp.

yeah, I can't deny they are beefier and better designed, I just had to point out that the type 1 has more potential for power, liter-per-liter, in response to

The type 4 motor is awesomeness in everyway compared to a type 1 style motor.

My bad I should have quantified that statement by saying stock t4 vs stock type 1 style engine. Where's the hug smili

Yup, no doubt, I'll take 2.0 liters over 1.6 any day! But I like *lots* of power 8-)

When I get the itch to go fast again, a turbo will scratch it. ;)
