Here's the setup I had on my two racecars, but I had the same setup on one of my street bugs and will be doing the same to my 73 bug too.

It doesn't show when I finished it, but I had four hoses ( 2 valve covers, 1 oil filler neck, 1 fuel pump block off plate )

Here's the 56 oval setup

Before ( originally came on the car)

After (Clyde Berg's breather box )

Thanks for all of the pics Meredith! So your vote would be for the two hoses to the valve covers and then the remaining hose to the oil filler neck....just like Ethan's & Billy's setup?

Yes, but if your running a electric fuel pump run another one to the block off plate.

if you really want it on the fan shroud then you can use jack nuts to mount them I have used them and they work really well

Thanks for everyone's input. I am going with the right rear firewall. I picked up a long drill bit and some sheet metal screws tonight and am going to see if I can find some time to do the install this weekend. I am hoping I have a drill bit big enough for the valve covers.

Here's a few pics of how I did mine. Off on the passenger side, with bulkhead fittings to pass through the firewall and down to the valve covers.
