Dlicious, thanks for the info, yeah I was totally floor when I read through the process of getting the Type IV and the prices on JR's site, but if he is the only person really offering an "easy" way to convert and it is as good as they say it is I can understand.

mk, Thanks for mentioning about you building up something, how long does it take you and how backed up on building engines for others are you.

I would not mind doing my own, the two biggest factors right now are that I want to get this thing on the road, and just the fact of being able to do it myself and have the resources around town (whether personal or a reputable business) that I can go, or shows pictures to and be able to get some good honest advice and work done if need be.

I'm always giving my neighbor a hard time when he says motor, too damn funny (or maybe it's just that I'm not right in the head)

As far as when I need the engine by, I am not quite sure, but I can say that thanks to Boom not helping a brutha out ASAP that I have an extra week to decide (I'm joking boom) actually thanks to boom I'm gonna have the beefier floor pan support.

I always think its funny when people act like there's really a big distinction between "motor" and "engine." What about "motor sports"? When was the last time you heard it called "engine sports"?

From Webster:

Motor
Main Entry:
Pronunciation:
\ˈmō-tər\
Function:
noun
Etymology:
Latin, from movēre to move
Date:
1586
1: one that imparts motion; specifically : prime mover
2: any of various power units that develop energy or impart motion: as a: a small compact engine b: internal combustion engine; especially : a gasoline engine c: a rotating machine that transforms electrical energy into mechanical energy
3: motor vehicle; especially : automobile
— mo·tor·dom Listen to the pronunciation of motordom \-dəm\ noun
— mo·tor·less Listen to the pronunciation of motorless \-ləs\ adjective

Engine
Main Entry:
Pronunciation:
\ˈen-jən\
Function:
noun
Etymology:
Middle English engineering, from Anglo-French, from Latin ingenium natural disposition, talent, from in- + gignere to beget — more at kin
Date:
13th century

1obsolete a: ingenuity b: evil contrivance : wile
2 a: something used to effect a purpose : agent, instrument <mournful and terrible engine of horror and of crime — E. A. Poe> b: something that produces a particular and usually desirable result <engines of economic growth>
3 a: a mechanical tool: as (1): an instrument or machine of war (2)obsolete : a torture implement b: machinery c: any of various mechanical appliances —often used in combination <fire engine>
4: a machine for converting any of various forms of energy into mechanical force and motion; also : a mechanism or object that serves as an energy source <black holes may be the engines for quasars>
5: a railroad locomotive6: computer software that performs a fundamental function especially of a larger program
