I thought lash caps were only for stock adjusters to keep the stock valve tips from mushrooming.

nevermind- here is a quote from berg's site:
"Valve Lash Caps

Lash caps are used to protect stainless steel and titanium valve stems and provide a larger surface for ratio rocker arms to ride on. An absolute must on high performance engines that use high ratio rocker arms (furnished with GB 411) to give a larger area for the rocker pad to contact. Excellent to repair damaged stock valve stems. Extremely high quality and fit. We identify our lash caps by overall length and with or without OD markings. Made in the USA."

911 adjusters don't need lash caps since they are wide as all hell.

I was thinking the same thing as Brian, to be able to adjust at the pushrod instead of the valve.
I think the engine will be coming out to make this task easier and to allow for better viewing.

negative. You can't run 1.4 rockers with an Engle 125, the valve acceleration will be way too high, you will destroy things very quickly. You would probably get coil bind any way, the heads probably arent set up for that much lift...

Another option is to get rid of those things all together and get some performance rockers that have a "foot" on the valve side and the adjuster on the PR side. I'm running over .55" of lift at the valve with those in my daily driver and mine *never* need adjusting. They are rock solid.

i read that there wasnt a oil passage on those style, will that be an issue? just wondering

like I said, I daily drive mine with that style with a bigger cam, no issues.
I think they have an oil hole that goes from the adjuster to the rocker shaft.

I remember having trouble with the first set of Empie rocker arms on my 1915. Got a better set, and they are still good. Slop from side to side can cause them to work loose. I. figured this out on mine. CB sells shims to fix the problem.
