Update:

Fuel sock was dirty and collapsed on itself. It had been repaired once before and it was rigged up. No test drive yet, but motor runs.

I discovered a design flaw with the way the gas tank mounts. its installed at a 45 degree angle and the fuel tap is no longer the lowest point on the tank. I would guess I have 5 usable gallons......I need a spun aluminum tank.

I think Id would re locate the fuel tap as well.

Update:
I got a chance to test drive. Not all the performance issues are fixed. It will drive in 4th now, but it really won't go past 60. But I can at least cruise in that gear. I still have high RPM popping in the carb. I am going to swap the coil and clean the carb first chance I get. Its almost acting like its got the wrong jet, but we will see.
