Popping out the tail pipe...

Does it pop during idle or when the rpms are on the way down?

From what I heard you have an exhaust leak.

Its popping once it's warmed up and is idling around 850... I can look over the exhaust for any connection leaks it's a new muffler ... Don't feel like calling my normal Vw mechanic because he said it wasn't a good choice to go to dual carb setup...

...Find a new mechanic! Holy fuck! dual carbs not a good choice.....

We can teach you how to sync carbs! Once you do it, you got it! got it?

But seriously, it sounds more like a carb issue now. You have never synced the carbs since install? To eliminate the exhaust theory, rev the motor and let go of the throttle. If it pops as it decelerates....its exhaust leak. If its just popping while idling you have a lean carb. Do not drive on the motor if this is the case.

Yea he's a old man who uses to work at a Vw plant way back in the day... It doesn't pop on deceleration... It would spit fire even on a lean carb? Either way I didn't drive it tonight .. I'd really appreciate if some1 would show me how to sync the carbs.. Lmk when any1 is available thanks

I seldom have time to do anything or I would volunteer.
