Re-adjusted the valves and messing with the carbs a bit and pops alot less , but henry (bug-o-holics) told me the valves aren't sitting right and needs a valve job.. I'm gonna see how this motor runs for about 6 months then back to the drawing board ... I have a love/hate relationship with this car.. Lol

Felix, your problem is your carbs are too rich. Check either your jetting (idle/main) or check your flaot and needle assembly. Gas is getting by causing the gas to ignite in the muffler. Get the carbs sync'ed up as well. Also, fuel pressure should be at 2.5 or 3 psi. Beyond that, gas is leaking past and down the intake.

Actually K-Dawgs only need about 1.5 psi, what ever you do don't run them at 3, lol

Did he go further into how the valves are not sitting right? :hillbilly: To high to low a little to the left rocker geometry???

I've torn apart a lot of engines and seen tons of crap gunked all over the valves along with pitted valve seats, hence the need for a valve job.
