but sometimes runs like crap.
the problem is that its only sometimes, we drove to the drive in saturday and she ran fine for about half an hour, then under a load the engine had a bad miss, but idle was great.
then it clears up and rode great to the drive in.
when we go to leave the car ran the same way, when I was in 3rd gear and try to accelerate to go to fourth it would miss and sometimes back fire. The engine ran fine if I just let it idle. after about five minutes it would clear up. almost make it home and it got worse.
any ideas?

Gremlins for sure. Crap in the gas tank plugging the screen? Wire grounding out? Carb icing? Loose clamp on the dizzy? Oh well, that's the extent of my limited knowledge...
