So are hydraulic lifters better then standard? What are the pros and cons? Supposedly, you don't have to adjust them as much. Anybody with knowledge on this? Thanks for anyones help.

Never owned a motor with them installed. But I heard that they run great in cars that are driven regularly but not so great in cars that sit around for weeks at a time.

I do enjoy tinkering with my motors and I dont see the need to have them just to save 15 min every 3000 miles when it is time for a valve adjustment.

hydro lifters don't like high rpm's. My core motor had them, i took them out, then sold them and the cam for a quarter of what I paid for that motor  .

solid lifters, chromoly pushrods, and zero valve lash doesn't require a lot of valve adjustments, plus it's not that tough to do once you get a routine.

Thanks for yalls advice, I commute my car about 3 to 4 times a week, I live about an hour from my office, it's about 86 miles round trip, plus whatever else I do during the day. I have heard that if you run the motor often they run great. I currently have standards, pretty happy with them. I'm gonna redo my motor and since I would have it disassembled thought about looking into changing my current set up. Thanks, just want a smooth running car. Thanks for the info.
