We installed a regular Empi crank pulley a few months ago, and now it started leaking oil pretty bad. It's slinging oil all over the backside of the decklid, and there's almost a puddle at the bottom of the rear engine tin. I know Brian is running an Empi press-in sand seal pulley, and that POS is leaking too. Would upgrading to a brand name pulley, like a Scat one, help?

Have you checked the end play?

The engine was rebuilt about a 1,000 miles ago, so I highly doubt that's the problem. Besides, it's a CPE motor  .

mistakes are made even with top engine builders
