My right side carb is spitting out a lot of gas from the #1 port when I blip the gas quickly. Doesn't do it so much when I roll into the throttle. I figured this out when it backfired up and caught fire a bit... What would cause this?

I should say the gas is going the wrong way... Like its not getting pulled through and so it's misting up and getting the filter wet. I hope that makes more sense.

Too much fuel pressure? Intake valve not working right? It runs nice and smooth now so I'm stumped.

Also a huge thanks to Redjames for following me home to make sure I was ok!

Everything I've read about fuel standoff only applies to situations where one carb throat is feeding multiple ports due to conflicting shock waves. Mine is one throat per intake port so I'm not sure if that still applies? I've checked the accel pump jet and it seems to be squirting just the same as all the rest.

I've never heard of a balance tube, but my car is running dual duals, not dual singles. So my carb isn't feeding two cylinders with one carb throat, which is where the problem occurs that they're talking about.

Also, if it helps, it uses stock rockers on an Engle 120 cam.
