Has anyone used these manifolds? They flip the carbs around so the mixture screws are facing inward to make them easily accessible while bringing them closer to the centerline of the car, also making more clearance to the edge of the engine bay. Do they need a special linkage? I couldn't find that info...

never seen these before! Seems like they aren't any shorter than your average manifold, just that they are closer to your shroud. I don't believe you would have any problems with the use of linkages. Im pretty sure my carbs are as snug as they can ever get and im still utilizing the same linkage with my Short Berg manifolds. If you are trying to run your same linkage, check the angle of your down rods that connect the linkage to your throttle arms on the carbs themselves. That would at least give you somewhat of an area to start with regarding if your current setup would work. ALSO, the biggest thing is that they are running 180 degrees opposite. So to keep the fuel inlets facing the same direction, just swap your carbs to opposite sides, instead of turning each carb around and keeping them on the same side they were on. that way they are effectively flipped 180 degrees, and you don't have to worry about relocating your throttle arms to the opposite side of the carb, if necessary.

See why I'm thinking it needs a narrower linkage, is that unlike IDA versions, the DRLA/IDF versions attach to the air cleaner bases. The carbs could switch sides, but the bases can't. I guess I'd have to call CB to find out for sure.

Yea switching carbs would work and leave the air cleaner based where they must be.
Only thing I'd say is you'd have much more accessibility with a 36 style shroud.

No, the air cleaner bases have the specific bolt pattern in them like the manifolds do. If you swapped sides, the bases would have to either stay in the same orientation or be flipped so the cross bar mount is facing the front of the car. I bet there's an easy answer for this and we are over thinking it...

Ah you are right ..like for the CB cast bases... I am running metal oval ones with Berg linkage..
If you went with a twist bell crank style linkage or berg..
you could do it easy enough..

CB probably has a base that works.. or if you are good.. couldn't you just drill 8 news holes for the bases to fit
back correctly..??
