Here's a fun one for you all. Beetle with a AH code 1600 dual port, PICT 34, 009, points and condenser, and blue coil.
Points appear to be right ~45, idle up a bit at ~1000, timed to ~30 deg at full advance.

Started cutting out and idling rough so I reset the points and upped the idle a bit to the above. Cleaned up the rotor and contacts inside the cap. Seemed to clear things up but still cuts out during hard stops, but only when hot.

Still need to try new points, cap and rotor, etc... May swap in my spare electronic ignition to see if that makes any difference.

Thoughts?

Check the wires on your coil far a good connection. We found that to be the issue when Reds car was doing almost the same thing, the wire was loose in the connector and it would cut out when it wiggled a little.

I would suggest checking the ground strap on the trans mount.
