Note to self.......

I have told many people over the years to weld that damn sump pickup tube extension on when running a deep sump. My dumbass forgot to order a sump and installed it after the fact , which at that point motor was together and welding wasn't an option. Well last time at the track the pick up tube fell off and smoked #2 rod bearing, and once the crank was stripped of its rods there was no ping so the crank got hot enough to get a crack. It is now on its way to dpr.

I recommend looking into Jurgen Nowak cams. CNC steel billet cams with the highest level of accuracy. I just put one in my Super Squish piston engine and it is awesome. Valve to piston clearance is bitch with these pistons due to their shape

I can email you his cam selection spreadsheet if wanted. Another key thing is that most of the 1.4 rockers actually measure out to 1.45 to 1.5

Also recommend CB Performance’s full length pickup tube...no welding needed
