anyone know of a site I can find out what trans I have?
I think its a 67 or 68 because it has a 12v starter and the bellhousing doesnt look to have been clearanced,
there is also a switch for reverse lights.
heres some numbers on the case

I have checked the samba and doesnt match any numbers I see, the earlier seem to have letters and the ones I have found dont have the same numbers.

They don't code them after a certain year. Chances are it is a '67 or '68. I have 2 here if you want to compare.

....And then you can take the greasy one to Mikee for me!!! :hillbilly:

he still hasnt gotten the parts from there yet?
dammit man.....well its not that big of an issue seeing how vw didnt keep track that well apparently.
