GEX has been known to do things like use all-thread for head studs, use miss-matched parts, bad machine work, etc. Just be prepaired that it may not last long, that's all we're saying ;) On the other hand, who knows, maybe you'll get lucky

Martin's 67 had a brand new GEX motor.. supposed to have some 50 miles on.. but had a hole punched out the bottom where a rod went through it.. super awesome... was when looking at bottom with the sump plate off--- we all started laughing.. it didn't even have a pick up tube in it..
NO JOKE... how do you miss that.?? 50 miles??? it was actually a pretty awesome motor.. all things considered..

I've also seen two seperate case halves used.. I guess throwing a line bore bar through it.. makes everything a matched set??
