GEX has been known to do things like use all-thread for head studs, use miss-matched parts, bad machine work, etc. Just be prepaired that it may not last long, that's all we're saying
On the other hand, who knows, maybe you'll get lucky

Martin's 67 had a brand new GEX motor.. supposed to have some 50 miles on.. but had a hole punched out the bottom where a rod went through it.. super awesome... was when looking at bottom with the sump plate off--- we all started laughing.. it didn't even have a pick up tube in it.. NO JOKE... how do you miss that.?? 50 miles??? it was actually a pretty awesome motor.. all things considered..  I've also seen two seperate case halves used.. I guess throwing a line bore bar through it.. makes everything a matched set?? |
