Check the A pillar for cracks and fatigue around the mounting plates. Also where the hinge mounts to the door. There has to be a reason why the door won't stay when you forced it up with the jack.

Everything seems to be fine, but I'll double check. Here are some shots of the door, you can see the gap near the roof as well as on the trim line. I am thinking about pulling the lower hinge off the body and putting a thick washer under the four screws, behind the hinge. Hopefully this might lift it up..?

From the pictures it appears to be more of a body issue than a door alignment issue. The gap at the top looks like it may be bent under the drip rail. The crome trim is not in line, but the crease in the body line is very close (door to quarter). Adding the washer may help to split the diference. The body line down the side looks pretty consistent, so it could open the gap at the top and tighten it at the bottom. Hopefully you can get it to where you're happy with it. Let me know if I can help.

Finally got around to working on it the other weekend. Managed to fit a washer under each of the outer screws on the bottom hinge which pulled the door up quite nicely. It brought the door in pretty close in the bottom but at least closed the gap at the top very nicely.

The chrome trim is sitting just a hair high but I can live with that to finally not see light when the door is closed..
