how much POR15 is needed to do the pans top and bottom of course....as well as the transaxle. im assuming thats what is used on the transaxle as well. should i do the beam as well....or just have it powder coated. any suggestions appreciated.

one qt. will do everything beam, pans tranny ect.

If you PC the beam you will have to completely gut the beam, I know on a T3 that's a major PITA, since there is a really high chance of busting up the bakelite bushings and for us they are NLA

Here is another option instead of POR15, everyone rants and raves about it http://masterseriesct.com/ I'm going to use it on my IRS subframe.

I second that. I did ALL of my chassis (multiple coats too!) with one quart. I did use their 'Marine Clean' and their 'Metal Ready' sprays as well, to prep.

Metal Ready is awesome, I use it on everything that I sand down to bare metal. Sand, wash with soap and water, then let it surface rust over night, then spray some MR on it.

I wouldnt powder coat the beam, you will have a hard time just getting all the grease out and once the bake it the powdercoat will fish eye.........dont ask me how I know this ;)
