only 90 bucks to have it done professionally. This may be the route I go.

$90 + the cost of a set of restore-worthy plates will be close to $120+. That's about the same price of NOS never registered plates, right?

if you get both done it would be $180. Most NOS never registered plates need to be restored as well. If you score a set of plates like I did for free than you would only have 180 in them.

a restored set can run 250 and above. NOS sets run 200 plus and then you still may have to restore them.

Wow $90 a piece?! I thought that was for the pair! I guess if you got them for free it would go without saying... He must be a busy guy; 6 weeks is a bit of time to be without your car if you already registered the tags. It looks like he does quality work

90 doesn't seem that bad when I spent over 20 in supplies and at least three hours sanding painting re stripping, sanding painting re stripping, sanding and painting again and they still look like ASS. not to even mention that I went to at least two hobby lobby's and one Micheal's burning gas and time (at least 3 hrs)

Yes.. my NOS plates were ina batch of 20 or so.. all consecutive numbers and had never been registered.. the seperator sheet had went to heck a long time ago and the bottom plate was pretty worn already even though they were brand new..

so I used the TOP clean one on the back and rough one on the front of my car..

I wouldn't mind redoing mine but for now they are OK.....
