On a 68 bug, what is the correct way to adj. the brakes. I heard you adj. the bottom first then the top. do you tighten untill drum doen't turn aqnd the loosen???? |

I don't know if it's right or wrong but it works. Adjust top till wheel don't turn then back off just a hair and I meen just a hair untill it turns then do the same with the bottom. The trick is they will be realy close or it will seem like it will never bleed. Good luck. |

i dont remember if my 69 did or not....the key is to get the pads realy close...i even let mine rub just a little on the top and bottom....just a little is the key that way i know they are close...they wont rub long after you start driving it.... |

Maybe Bo remembers on his old 68.. |
