Last weekend the brakes on the bus were just ok the pedal is very firm but doesnt seem to hold good. I looked at 3 of 4 breaks tonight they are dry the drums are smoth. When we went riding around Austin some hilly stops were tought to hold. Any ideas I have a trip in the bus this weekend about 500 miles. |

Were the brakes hot and just fading? Maybe the shoes have glazed over. Try taking some sand paper and rough up the shoes. just a thought. |

That sounds like my Westy's brakes, the pedal is hard and I need to just about stand on the pedal to get it to slow down. I just assumed that's how buses stopped, makes me miss driving the notch. |
