In a proper worlld of VW... Brown is ground and probably goes to the screw on the gen. would also be easier to tell if that "clump" is basically together

and yes black is keyed power for the coil-fuel cutoff solenoid-and choke

blue/green is for the oil sendor

and from 67 and on a black wire went from the power of the coil around to the passenger side to feed power to the reverse light actuator on the nose of the transmission .
