When I was young we had Paul Revere cookware that came with copper bottoms. We use to clean them by spreading ketchup on them and the natural acid would make them look really nice. well I was thinking that that would be a good idea to clean up a fuse block since all the aftermarket blocks are junk. here is how it came out. The start the Ketchup the dirty part the finished product it even worked on the headlight terminal |

I didnt scrub them at all just let the ketchup sit on it for about an hour. Then rinsed with warm water. |

supaninja wrote: Ketchup has vinegar in it, chemistry is fun straight vinegar wont work. I think it is the Ascorbic acid that is found naturally in tomatoes. They even sell it as a metal stain remover. Ascorbic acid efficiently removes rust and metallic stains from fiberglass pools and spas. Must be used with Metal Free to prevent the recurrence of stains. http://www.lesliespool.com/Home/Pool-Ch ... 14101.html |

I used to make a paste with Ketchup, flour, and salt to clean my copper. Bar Keepers Friend is what the pros like to use. Great for damn near everything. It has Boric Acid. It will dry your skin really fast, so use gloves. Looks good E, but Hunt's tastes like shit....Heinz is the way to go. But what the fuck do you know, yer frum the kuntry....I bet you own Miracle Whip too |
