I have brake lights when the light switch is off, but when the lights are on the brake lights don't work.. Why is this?? |

Are the lights when on extra bright? Maybe the wires are crossed making the dim filament light up for the brake light. |

It's a 64 I have it wired as the diagram is shown that I got off the samba I'm in spring if I could meet up with someone. |

No I used the harness that was in it when I bought it it looks to be original well at least old. |
