I'm putting a oil cooler and fan with a inline thermostat.my problem is not sure of the wire issue. There's 2wires on the fan and 2on the thermostat. Any one has an ideal where they go. |

Simply think of the thermostat as an on/off switch and wire in series with the power side of the fan. Keep in mind when adding anything electrical to also install a circuit breaker or fuse. |

Yes.. it can be inline on the Ground side of the fans wires.. or the power.. the thermostat will just complete the circuit once the triggering temp has been reached. +-- (fans +)---POWER - --(Fans - ) ----Thermostat wire (one of them) --Thermostat wire (the other) --- ground. |
