Post subject:  1968 beetle brake light wiring

I've got a 68 beetle that I've put a new wiring harness in. At the master cylinder I've got 6 connectors off the harness but my light switches only have two prongs. Do the other two wires go to a third switch I don't have or are those there for a three prong switch? Where does the wiring for the brake light warning button on the dash come into play here? Is that the third switch I don't have? I have a few wiring diagrams but I'm just not clear on this. Thanks. David

Looking a bit deeper on the web I guess I'm gathering my brake warning light won't work with the master cylinder and light switches I have. I gather I need the three prong style switches for the warning light to work? Correct? David
