Considering your age and all I think your best bet would be for you to go ahead and give me the 56 Ill give you in exchange a real nice 65 that doesnt have wireing problems, this will save you the stress and maybe a heart attack of chasing down the wire gremlin

Think my next move is to replace the 6v cable.

That just made me think of something.... Ben, would it be possible for you to try jump starting it using your 66? The extra voltage(or is it amperage) that the extra battery would give might be enough to start her up. Just for a piece of mind that is.

Pull the started out,put a set of jumper cables on the battery, neg.cable on the starter flange. Touch the positive jumper cable to the starter post. see if it will kick the bendex out an spin the starter.

If that works the problem is between the battery and the starter.
Oh what about the ignition switch...do you have power with the switch on?

Yea Eric.....Ethan would probably push it all the way to his house... :help: . The motor actually turned over the morning I started having trouble with the starter. Then it acted like the battery was dieing. I really don't think (actually hoping) that it is not a motor issue.

Thanks!
