A & A Auto Glass Discounter is the place to go if you need the glass put in your vw. I took the old front window and a new seal from KAR part and had them install it for $100 and installed in less than two hrs and I drove home. Now mine does not have the chrome trim in but I don't think that would be a problem.

Seems kind of expensive just to install a windsheild. I had smith foreign install a new windsheild with a new gasket, new carpet in the rear section, a new headliner and installation, and my carb linkage fixed and carbs adjusted for less than $600. Also I had a new windsheild and installation in my 66 Galaxie Wagon for $225 and it was a ppg windsheild. I have installed a bug windsheild and it was difficult but not $100 worth. Not trying to talk shit, I am sure they did a good job. Did they come to you? If so , maybe that offset the price.

 wow I have never paid to have any of my windows installed in my bug, and I always put the chrome trim in. when you use cal rubber it is so freaking easy.In twenty years of this hobby I have only broke two windshields once when I stepped on one and Billy's. It is really not that hard just gotta use the slap method

i bought a new rear glass seal for my bug and I go the trim to go with it. But for the life of me I could not figure out how to get the trim in. I stopped before I bent it all up.
Any tips?
