I know this is a old subject with me ... but give a FOG a break..

So, I have alot of time sitting here doing nothing and unable to lift anything over 5lbs.

I think when Brad set the (avis ) adjusters in we talked about the use of the adjuster bolt could be used in the grub screw position and that would put the beam close to the stock position.

The torsions might need to be repostioned at this point so the the arms will be in the correct place as far as the thier grub screw.

They may need to be fliped .

What I would have then is the opposite issue. ( i think) is that my lowest postion is stock and any adjustment would only be to raise the car. But that would not be used. Keeping the drop spindles I would have the 2.5 drop.

Or am I just on drugs?

I would invite anyone that has a notion to come by and look and see if I am.

Warning still have the bag.. not pretty... and will be getting rid of it Monday...

Wayne

I would think it depends on how the adjusters were welded on. You should be able to loosen it all up and reset the adjusters in the highest spot possible. If the adjusters were welded on so the car could be extra low you probably won't be able to get back close to stock height. But if the adjusters were welded on with the highest setting being stock height then, yes you can raise the car back up. It all depends on who built the beam.

......or its the drugs talking. Do you have a "prescription"? :hillbilly:

I agree with D' and have said it before. The adjusters must have been welded clocked too far. The only way to do it right is to cut the adjusters out of the beam and rotate them to a neutral (or closer to neutral) and go from there.

I don't see any way that if the beam is adjusted all the way up you could monkey around with anything to get it higher, short or cutting and re-welding the adjusters...
On other quick and easy option would be to put a set of those cheap "coil over" shocks on the front with everything as-is, they will raise it up some. The ride will get a bit stiffer too though.
I actually did that back in the 90's when I used to get tickets for being too low and didn't have an adjustable beam... throw on the coil overs, get it inspected, then yank them off again till next time
