Post subject:  Front Air Shocks to help with ride quality???

I have 2.5" lowered spindles, 2" narrowed beam and adjusters with std. KYB shocks. The ride is harsh. Will a set of Monroe MA700 air adjustable shocks help with ride quality? My current setup has the front sheet metal about 4.5" off the ground. I like the lowered look, but I'd also like a better ride.

You are going to want an oil filed shock. Not gas.

I think his is ball joint... 1970 I think . I've been thinking of air shocks myself but to raise it up about 1/2 inch. I too have KYB and the ride is stiff but ok. I would like to know what you find out ...

People always complain about the KYB gas shocks making the ride too harsh, just run some oil shocks and I'm sure it will feel a lot better. I wouldn't bother with air shocks unless you need more ground clearance and your beam is already adjusted all the way up.

Thanks Bryan ... considering air shocks.. I also have read that the ride, if not pumped too much, is a nice ride.

Bill, sounds like your ride heigth is good .. I would try the oil shocks.

Have a Air shock for 2 year and it fine to me. But I don't how it feel with either gas or oil shock cuz I have not try it.
