Hey guys as you know my motor came in last week and I have started putting her together. I am hoping to have the motor will be complete by sunday. Well I was wondering if one of you guys had an engine jig to test run motors.. The reason why I ask is that this is pretty much my first VW motor that I put together from longblock up and wanted to learn a little from you guys. I should be getting my carbs in tomarrow which are precleaned, floats set, and tuned for my application. I still have a cooler full of beers left over from the super bowl so this would be a good way to put them out of their misery. :D

I don't have a test stand, I want to build one some day though...
When were you thinking about firing it up?

Im thinking the early part of next week. Depending on what my work scheadule is I could fire her up this weekend. I still need to pick up a few small things then I should be good to go. I can wait till you build one and if you need some supplies I might be able to help just let me know what you might need. Thanks JOhn

Thanks. I probably won't build one for a while though, but I'll let you know.
What part of town do you live in? I could probably swing by for a bit to help you fire it up and tune it 8-)

Yeah, when are you going to fire it up? you should do a proper cam and lifter break-in if you weren't planning on it ;)
Let me know when you plan on lighting her off and I may be able to help you out. I can tune you carbs and so on no problem
