I went to the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart Germany back in February, finally thought to post the pictures, lol. Better late than never
Anyway, needless to say say, it was pretty friggin amazing!
Here's the pics I took, enjoy
A recreation of the first real Porsche, built for the Paris-Berlin road race, which was supposed to take place in 1939 (IIRC). Needless to say, that race never happened. It's easy to see that its designer was the same person who designed the VW Beetle. These cars borrowed heavily from the VW parts bin, as did the early production 356s which were based on this car.
The legendary 356 Carrera
And its engine.
I had no idea they ever made this car, and I think they only made one, an 8 cylinder 914. If I remember correctly is was a birthday gift for Ferry Porsche
One of the most famous racing Porsches of all time, "Moby Dick"
A 16 cylinder boxer motor!!!
Looks familiar, huh?
Porsche used to have a pretty extensive rally racing program
View of the workshop from the cafeteria we had lunch at
And finally, the BWM 3-series I drove 150 mph on the Autobahn through Bavaria
