Peanut - this is a herbaceous plant that belongs to fabaceac family. The plants name derived from combination of morphemes pea and nut. The word pea describe the edible seed of many other legumes in fabaceac family in that peanut is a kind of pea although is in culinary sense, in the botanical sense the furit of peanut plant is a woody indeshient legume, not a nut. The flowers are also in pea flower shape peanut are also known as earthnut, monkeynut, goober nut, jack nut, pinder, pindas and manila nut.
