For those of you who's build and other threads have been completely destroyed by Photobucket's antics (see thread here viewtopic.php?f=2&t=6899 ), there is a way to fix your pics that, for the time, seems to work well.
Here's how to do it:

1) click "edit" at the bottom right of the post you want to fix
2) in the post edit window, find the text for the image, it should look something like this:
Attachment:
Screenshot_20170820-102545.png
Screenshot_20170820-102545.png [ 208.1 KiB | Viewed 435 times ]

3)Near the end of the image text, you should see "jpg[/Img]". Modify that section of text by adding "~original" between "jpg" and "[Img]", it should look like this:
Attachment:
Screenshot_20170820-103540.png

4) Modify all images as above and save your edits.

5) during the process, if you want to check that it's working before saving, hit "preview" and if you did it correctly they should now show in the preview

6) i did this on 50-something pages of my 55 thread, it goes pretty fast if you get the "~original" copied to your clipboard, all you have to do then is past it into the appropriate locations.

BTW, going forward, please attach photos in New posts, someday the Photobucket fix will probably stop working. See there thread here viewtopic.php?f=2&t=6432 for instructions on uploading and posting pictures. Note, the board automatically resizes the pics for you, you can upload full size pics right into your post from your phone and they will display with a max width of 800 pixels. :ugeek:

Sweet, going to review where you were talking about modifying a bearing on your engine rebuild in your thread.

Edit ~ it think it was a temp fix

Oh, are they showing up blurry now with the watermark on them? What thread are you looking in, maybe there are some that I haven't fixed?

Really? That is strange. At a glance it appears to be all of them not working, I started with page 1 and then bounced through the pages a bit.

I wonder if I was logged in to photobucket on this computer recently I would get different preference. I will try on my work computer tomorrow.

This is so strange, NOW they're blurred when I look at them in this viewtopic.php?f=8&t=4435 thread. Odd that they would appear that way for different people at different times.
Guess maybe I'll have to pony up to photobucket...

At the moment, page 58 up shows clear photos... I don't know why. Same thing when I looked on my work computer.
Don't pony up to photobucket, at least on my behalf. There are so many other hosting services out there that don't play tricks with your media.

We can move forward and talk about timing curves, jetting, velocity stack shape, intake manifold tapper etc. without photobucket :P

With the diminishing traffic here mainly due to facebook no sense in paying photobucket. I have paid for extra storage from them for years due to the amount of pictures I have stored there, but they want an arm and leg for the links service for forums like this. It's super sad to me that the days of build threads is truly over. So much knowledge will eventually be lost. Even mega sites like thesamba don't have near the traffic that they had just a few short years ago.
