I wasn't sure whether to put this here or in the Tech Help but thought more people might see it here.

I'm in the process of rebuilding my 2110 and while I'm at it I'm putting on my chrome alternator and welded fan. My question is, does anybody make a better quality, possibly billet aluminum backing plate? I run a DTM fan shroud on mine but it uses the standard backing plate. I've searched around and so far only find the stock black or chrome plates.

Help!!!???

Back in the day there were aluminum ones, you may be able to find a used one on the samba or ebay. I had one at some point... long gone.

Good to know there's at least a possibility. I'd been looking on both ebay and the samba and had pretty much given up.

I missed that one in my search somehow. CB was the first place I looked but must have had a momentary ID10T issue. :D

Thanks Tommie.

I had one Chromed once.. it added 20% HP .. I don't know if that was exact.. I think it was more like 18% ? but that is what I was told.. should of Dynoed before and after to see what the real result was?

If I'd have known that's all it took to turbo a motor, I'd have done it years ago. I'd heard the cost was WAY higher than that. :D :D
