I didn't really know Rob other than interacting with him on here, but I could tell he was a solid guy with a real love of VW's and a passion for getting a dLk chapter going in AZ. He was only 44 years old.
According to the below linked go fund me page:
Quote:
Rob unexpectedly passed away due to complications on a routine surgery to place a port for dialysis.

RIP Rob

RIP sucks he was so gung ho about the AZ chapter and really seamed like a standup guy. I was looking forward to meeting him this year.

This sure sucks!! I was out in Az taking care of my mom the last couple of weeks in September and had thought about reaching out to Rob. Unfortunately, between taking care of her and me having to work on a few projects for my job, I just felt too lazy to roll into the valley. On the board, he sure came off as a great guy and was really doing something out there. Thanks for sharing, Brian.

This is just terrible news :bs:
