you just dont find stuff like this anymore. I don't have room with the DC coming. I would have bought this instead, fixed it and flipped it and bought a DC later. I told someone restoring a SQ Back last night, buy it, you have the money, sell the project if you have to, but no matter how you restore, it's not the same as an original one that has all the stuff it came with.

I used to find cars like this in sacramento for $1K. My first SQ back was almost this nice, a blue 65. The guy was an detective that my mom worked with, gave it to me when he heard I like VW's. Parked in the early 70's -all it needed was a shift coupler. That car was sweet, everything original except highback seats his dad added for safety. I was a fool for selling that car, and I'm surprised this ad is still up. I'd bet it's sold and left the ad up, or is playing bidding games.

1965 "Lil Buggar" Beetle Camper Price: 12,500.00
Ok VW fans Ol Dex has came up with another ODD one. A 1965 "Lil Buggar" camper conversion. This kit was offered in the 70s by popular mechanics and other handy dandy magazines. This one I just picked up and out of the 2 I have ever had or seen its in great shape. Based on a 65 beetle and running a 1500SP motor it looks like it wouldn't even go down the road but actually it cruises smooth at 60mph with no worries. Lots of cool vintage interior and neat stuff that scream 70s inside. No funky smells or nasty insides. This lil feller you could actually camp in and have a blast.

It would be fun to have this at the classic in Fredericksburg. 8-)
