1967 beetle, originally Savannah Beige. Running/Driving car with Clean and Clear Texas title in MY name. Car is a good runner and very solid. No cancer rust anywhere. Many many new parts, can't list them all. $3800 obo will consider trades. No payment plans or credit cards. Will not hold.

Detailed description:
I will do my best to thoroughly describe the car.
Body -
The car is real solid. No cancer rust and very little surface rust. That includes the pan. This is the most solid VW I've owned. The paint is a 10 footer job at best. I painted it with Krylon in my garage almost a year ago. And it needs touched up in a few places. The front hood needs to be redone. It needs to be blasted and skim coated and painted. It looks like cellulite on a fat woman's thighs. The drip rail was dented after it was painted and it needs to be resanded and painted. its a very very small area. maybe the size of a dime. The rear left fender needs to be welded, it's a very small 'tear' about a half inch long. There are a few very small 'dings' that need to be addressed. New fender beading, new rubber seals (turn signals front and back, overrider holes, bumper holes, license plate light). Two extra 1967 front fenders and front and rear bumpers with overriders included with sale.

Interior -
Has correct 67 lowback seats with the adjustment lever on the side of the seat. Rear seat is there although I don't believe it's from a 67 (I could be wrong). No headliner (I do have the bows) no carpet. Four brand new black door panels, and an extra speedometer included.

Glass -
All glass is stamped 'Sekurit'. Small chip in the windshield, maybe the size of a nickel. Has original vent windows in the doors. Regulators work great and were just greased. Rear quarter popout windows and rear window are in great shape. Two one-piece windows (for passenger and driver doors) are included in the sale.

Suspension -
Front - 4 inch narrowed adjustable beam with drop spindles. I was told that the beam was a 'half and half' meaning you could go an inch above stock or an inch below stock. I have not verified this.
Rear - adjusted a few splines in the rear. Stock Z-bar included in the sale (not currently installed).

Brakes -
a few of the metal lines have been replaced. All 4 wheel cylinders are new. Pedal was a little soft last time I drove the car, wouldn't hurt to bleed the brakes.

Wheels/Tires -
Car has 5 reproduction Porsche Cosmic wheels. Yes, it has a matching spare too. Front tires are Smart car tires 155/60/15 and rears are 195/65/15. One of the 5 wheels has a little curb rash. The other 4 have no curb rash.

Engine/Transmission -
1500cc single port, 30PICT carb, rebuilt heads, Engine runs smooth. Transmission shifts good in every gear. Glasspack exhaust. 009 distributor. Alternator (no more voltage regulator).

Electric -
Horn, headlights (hi and low beam), turn signals, parking lights, brake lights, and licence plate lights all work as they should. Emergency flashers stay solid when button is pulled. Probably just the flasher relay, never got around to checking it. All new fuses. New battery (9/12). All new bulbs. Included in the sale are the original bumper mount reverse lights (not currently installed).

General -
Needs rubber door seals and hood & decklid rubber seals. Missing trim piece on the front hood. By no means a perfect car, but I think it's priced accordingly.

The best thing about this car is that it is very very solid. It drives good, it looks good. It will make a good 'drive as you build' project for someone.

Bo

If I hadn't just bought my 66 vert, I'd be talking to you about this car. I'd love to own a 67
