Any of you have a guitar you want to get rid of? I am starting to learn how to play and want to get an electric guitar. I am looking for something like a Mexican made Fender Stratocaster or something along that line. I have cash or if someone is interested, and has a nice guitar, i have a 65 bug and a rebuilt 1600 dual port that I may be willing to trade. Lets be realistic I am not going to trade the bug and motor for a $300 guitar. Having said that let me know what you have.

i was just talking to my wife last night..i too want to learn to play...not an electric just yet just an accoustic...the bad part is im left handed so finding a used guitar is going to be a little harder..good luck with your hunt

I'm a lefty too Billy, but FWIW I play the guitar right handed. You might want to mess around with both a left handed and a right handed guitar and see which feels more comfortable before you buy one. (Sorry to the original poster for the thread jack)

I figured the thread would get hijacked. As for the lefty guitar, I had a roommate whose brother played, he was left handed but played a right handed guitar upside down. He said it wasn't that bad once you get it through you head that the strings are upside down. If you are learning it that way from the get go i don't think it would be that big of an issue. Just my 2 cents.
