This is not mine. I went and looked at it today, it's located off of South Post Oak and west Orem. The guy wants $450 for the Pacer or $450 for the Hornet. My dad used to have a Pacer in the early 80's and has told me many times that the car was fast. My dad's was a 6 cyl standard trans, and so is this one here. So we went and checked it out. The car has been sitting for at least a year, all the tires were low on air or flat. The body has alot of dings and some rust all the way through. This car is probably not the best canidate for a restoration.

BUT......

The guy had not started this car since September. He put in a battery and.... BAM! the car started right up. If someone were to clean this thing up and put a little effort into it, it would be a neat little car to cruise around in, or even race. If you know these things, you know they are faster and people think. Also, he's motivated to get rid of it, you might get it for even less than $450. Clear title.

Just thought I'd let you all know. I don't have the space or time for another car. Plus, i don't want my wife to leave me w:pw

I don't have pictures, but I can give you the guys name and number if you want to check it out.

Here's the link..............

My first car was a '74 Hornet! It was white with woody side panels. The only good thing about that car was the Air Conditioner! It had a desert only mode. It would blow frost on a hot ass day! I miss that cold air.......

A friend of mine had a '74(?) Gremlin Levi's Edition with blue jean fabric interior and a 304 V8. Pretty quick for a '70's detuned 'compact' car. Cool little car.

to bad neither had the 304. I had a cj7 with a 304 v8. Hell of a motor. I'd buy a complete running 304 motor for storage. They will bolt up to any CJ7 tranny ever offered. Just have to change motor mounts.... :hillbilly:
