My father is a Civil Engineer and Land Surveyor. He used to have a calculator like the one below. One day while surveying he dropped it in a ditch. He jumped in waist deep after that thing. It no longer worked. It was like someone killed his dog, he was really bummed about it.

Here's my hp 41CV I got back in college. Top of the line stuff back in 1981. It's maxed out with the optional RAM upgrade to a whopping 6.4K! :P

A little wear and tear, but still going strong 30+ years later!

I have had bosses, in the past, that swear by these and will not use anything else. They have a very strong, loyal following...

One of the guys here has one like this. That's why I put it on the list.

He said he is still using the same batteries from when he got it in the mid to late 80's

That's about what I paid for mine back in 1989.

Even tho' it wasn't RPN, I bought it anyway....

I guess I'd better look for mine some more!

Actually, I saw one for sale on-line several months ago for $10.
I decided to buy it in case I couldn't find mine. But it had sold already. :x

If you turn an iPhone on its side while in calculator mode it will resemble the hp pictured. However, it does not use the reverse polish logic. If you happen to have that available.
