Bay Area Drag Day '09...

The drag day is in the planning stages for this year. Targeting some time in September but after Labor Day. I will make some calls and get a flyer made as well. But, I need some ideas for this year. I would like to get the HVWC, NHVWC, dLK and Aircoolers behind this to raise the purse to $1000. It can be done, just need some help.

I am posting this on other sites so I can garner some interest and attention.

Okay, after much delay, the drag day is set for Sept. 20th, which is a Sunday. It will be at Houston Raceway Park with the gates opening at 2pm and closing at 8pm. Kids 12 and under are free, spectators are $10 and racers are $20. The cash award will be split 70/30 going to the winner and runner-up. All are welcome to participate. Ok the VW Drag Days has been cancelled for Sept 20th. I got a call from the General Manager @ HRP this afternoon and told me that they are not going to opened the track the rest of the season on Sundays. HRP doesn't have enough turnout/cars to open the gates. We are working on another date so please stay tune.

here is something we can consider as a replacement for the drag day. we were invited by the 356 porsche club

In honor of Ferry Porsche's 100th birthday, we will drive in town on Sunday, September 20.

Meet at Cafe Express Town and Country at 9:45AM and depart at 10:00AM, sharp.
