The Fort Worth VolksFolks Club would like to invite you to their 12th annual VW show in Fort Worth. Once again the show is at Lockheed Martin Recreational Area, which provides plenty of shaded areas in case it is sunny. It provides covered pavilions in case of rain (hopefully it won't rain). There are plenty of play ground areas for the kiddos. We are hoping that some of the kiddie rides will be operational in time for our show. If not, other activities will be planned.

There will be lots of music, lots of VW friends, $0.50 hot dogs, drinks, chips, and cookies and lots of VWs to see. Please note that although this is a recreational area, NO PETS are allowed (LMRA rules). This is a family event and there will be lots of children at the show, so NO alcohol either.

A coin show will also be held the same day in the conference building, but there will still be plenty of places to park tow vehicles. There is a self-service car wash only minutes away on Bryant Irvin Road (South of LMRA), and a full service car wash a few miles away on Bryant Irvin Road (across 820 / I-20).

Pre Entry fee is $8 and $10 at the door (price lowered). There will be plenty of door prizes, goody bags to the first 100 registrants (HINT: the best bags are given to those who pre-register). All proceeds this year is going to a Fort Worth charity, the Hope Center for Autism. We were able to donate over $4,000 to the 2011 charity (The WARM Place), which offers grief counseling for children and young adults.

Sounds like a lot of fun but that is opening weekend of deer season. I can't make the show.
