Sorry about your troubles Nick. I guess if we showed up with a bunch of VWs you would have had a different opinion. I did say at the beginning that this club is Late model based but does accept us older cars. Brad will tell you these guys are out to please everyone and probably the comment was not meant to offend anyone. Yes Niftee Fifteee is THE place to go if you enjoy the older cars. Like Fitz says nothing newer than 1974? Sorry again Nick and hope we can meet up at the next GTG.

I must have just assumed it was a hot rod show, instead of a new car show...that's what I get for assuming. I'm not the sensitive type, but it was very clear the guy was mocking my volkswagen.

Don't feel bad Nick. I pulled up and the guy at the gate said five dollars. I jokingly asked, "what are you trying to say, my truck is not good enough for your show?". He looked at me like I was from mars. The other guy at the gate said, "you can show your truck but you have to pay five more dollars. The first guy was still looking like he did not know what I meant. No sense of humor what so ever.
I threw the flyer they gave me for the next show away as soon as I got home.

This Saturday at Caliber Collision in front of Katy Mills Mall. 700 cars last time, half of which were Camaro's and Mustangs. About 7 or 8 VW's. Nick had a bad experience last August but I assume they will not make the same mistake. Again there are a LOT of new cars but plenty of older muscle, hot rods, classics. About 70% are newer cars. Anyway it is a nice place to take a cruise to Saturday evening. I'll have the buggy there. Be there early or you'll be in a line up half a mile long. See ya there

You didn't miss anything, just a bunch of late model cars showing off their stereos and neon lights.

I would love to make it out and Id even bring my oval instead of my z06 because it is more fun and even in a crowd of late models the black car will shine. BUT, Katy is a little far in this summer heat, lol.

This was a great show last night. There was a lot of older cars this time around. Some really neat rods, rat rods, muscle cars. You name it they were there. VW's? Just me and a Ghia :D See ya at the next one
