We went to this junk yard near the hill country. It was going out of business and most of the cars were for sale. It's been a while. Even the shop had some good buys that we picked up. Tools, jack stands, etc. The cars were in good shape, but some were very up there in price to take home to buy and rebuild. I took this photo of the yard. The ragtop was not for sale as the owner is trying to restore it. Pretty nice oval. Wished I had one. It is a nice car. Was trying out my B/W feature on my camera. :) Not sure if the Oval will ever be for sale. :) Enjoy..

Not really the Hill Country I suppose. It was near Killeen, Texas.

No, I can't remember exactly. It was either Killeen or down the road from Baylor University. I want to say Baylor. As I remember driving the old circle when I was there.

GO Texas is near Belton Texas. The Bug place that went out of business is near Baylor which is in Waco, Texas. It was a little gas station type shop with VW cars in the yard. We got some great tools for a lot less. Some of these cars are for sale. Not sure about the Oval though. I believe the guy that owns the Oval his name I think if I remember correctly starts with the letter P, but I can't think of it at the moment. He parked it in a garage and then they moved it to this Salvage yard. To bad that it has to sit outside like this. Looks like a nice Oval to be sitting in the elements.

Anyway, I have other shots of this yard too that are in color of all the cars that needed to be sold.

Also there is another guy here in Houston that has the largest Collection of Vdubs. He has all his cars in a Rice Silo. Sometimes he's on the samba selling cars.
