Maybe a day late and a dollar short but...

We are extending an open invitation to VW'ers for a cruise to Gator Country in Beaumont. Lots of gators and other creatures to see and their restaurant is pretty good too.

We have ~10 so far from the Southeast TX VW Club in on this as well.

The plan is those from Houston to meet up in La Porte and cruise out from there.

Tenative itinerary:
8:15 am - Meet at Shipleys in La Porte (146 and Spencer)
8:30 am - Leave out for Beaumont via 146, 99, and I10. Sunday shouldn't be a bad day for running I10. We can drop down to 65 in Anahuac if anyone has an issue with becoming a windshield smear (might need some big tractor signs!!).
10 am - Gator Country opens
12 am - Eat
2 pm?? - Return to Houston.

Stopped by there today and the group rate's are 8 and 5 for the kiddos. Also, there is supposed to be a film crew there shooting for a show that's airing on CMT in the spring. We get enough VW's there, they may get a cameo. We'll have the deck and a great view of the action across a gator filled pond!
